6η ημέρα:
Κοτρωνιάς και Παρλίγκρας προηγούνται στο κλειστό
Ο Βασίλης Κοτρωνιάς και ο Ρουμάνος Παρλίγκρας ήταν οι κερδισμένοι του 6^ου γύρου στο κλειστό τουρνουά «Ακρόπολις». Αμφότεροι νίκησαν τους Μπανίκα και Αν. Τζερμιαδιανό αντίστοιχα και με 4 βαθμούς μοιράζονται την 1η θέση.
Για άλλη μια φορά ο Λιθουανός Ροζένταλις πέρασε στην κορυφή του βαθμολογικού πίνακα στο «όπεν» τουρνουά των ανδρών. Στον 6^ο γύρο νίκησε με τα λευκά τον Βούλγαρο Πετρόβ και είναι μόνος με 5,5 βαθμούς. Τον πρωτοπόρο καταδιώκουν Αβρούκ (Ισραήλ, Μαλαχάτκο (Ουκρανία) και Γκέρσον (Ισραήλ).
Στο «όπεν» τουρνουά των γυναικών μόνη στην πρώτη θέση βρίσκεται η Βουλγάρα Βόϊσκα που νίκησε την ελληνίδα Πετράκη. Στη δεύτερη θέση με 4,5 βαθμούς ισοβαθμούν Ντέμπο (Ουγγαρία), Χουρτσίτζε (Γεωργία) και Κρίβετς (Σλοβενία).
Οι αγώνες διεξάγονται καθημερινά στο ξενοδοχείο «President» (ώρα έναρξης 4 μ.μ).

Day 6:
Kotronias, Praligras Take Lead In Grandmasters
Vassilis Kotronias of Cyprus and Mircea Parligras of Rumania won their games in Round 6 of the Grandmasters section of the 2003 Acropolis Tournament, to take the lead in the standings with 4 points each. Kotronias and Parligras defeated Banikas and Tzermiadianos of Greece respectively.
Lithuania's Rozentalis climbed to the top of the rankings of the Men's Open section of the 2003 Acropolis, when he defeated in white Bulgaria's Petrov in Round 6 and remains the only player with 5.5 points. Avrukh of Isarel, Malakhatko of of the Ukraine and Gershon of Israel follow in the rankings.
Alone in the pole position of the Women's Open rankings is Bulgaria's Voiska, following Round 6, when she defeated Greece's Petraki. Sharing second place with 4.5 points each are Hungary's Dembo, Georgia's Khurtsidze and Slovenia's Krivec.
Competition continues daily at the "President" Hotel in Athens, with matches starting at 16:00 local time (13:00 GMT). A total of 112 players from 20 countries are competing in the three tournaments.
