The 22nd International Chess Tournament "Acropolis"
2007 commenced without problems or delays, with the
participation of 82 chess players. It should be
pointed out that the arrival of spectators was
massive and a certain number of games could be
viewed with the use of a video projector. As for the
playing field, there was great fighting among the
players, many games lasted very long and draws were
combating.

The tournament is being held daily in the "Europa"
conference hall of "President" Hotel (on Kifissias
Avenue) from the 14th to the 22nd of August 2007.
The games start at 17:00 (15:00 GMT), except for the last
round which starts at 14:00 (12:00 GMT).
Admittance is free.
