place respectively both scoring
6½ points.
First female player of the tournament is IM Nana
Dzagnidze scoring 5½/9
(17th in overall ranking), 1st Greek player
GM Dimitrios Mastrovasilis with 6½/9
and 4th in overall
ranking, and 1st young
player under 20 I. Papadopoulos
who achieved his 3rd

The “Acropolis” Tournament was concluded on
Wednesday 22nd of August, with the Closing Ceremony.
Prizes were awarded to the winners in the
presence of the Prefect of Athens Mr.
I. Sgouros, the General Secretary
of Sports Dr.
S. Douvis, representatives of political parties,
the President of the
Greek Chess Federation
and Deputy President of FIDE
Mr. G. Makropoulos,
the Executive Director of
FIDE Mr. D. Jarrett, many
GCF Executive Board members and many chess clubs
representatives.
