Regulations:
Swiss System 9 rounds, invitational
FIDE rated tournament, 70-80 players, minimum
required FIDE rating 2200 (women 2050), GM & IM
title norms possible, FIDE time-control (90 minutes
for 40 moves followed by 30 minutes until the end of
the game plus an incremental time of 30 seconds per
move from move 1). Tie-break criteria: Direct
encounter: If all the tied players have met each
other then the sum of points from these encounters.
Otherwise, the following order of tie-break criteria
apply: a. average rating of opponents, b. sum of
progressive scores, c. Buchholz, d. Sonnenborg-Berger.
In all cases, FIDE rules apply.
Prizes (in euros):
1st: 2500, 2nd: 1500, 3rd: 1000,
4th: 800, 5th: 600, 6th: 500, 7th: 400, 8th: 300,
9th-15th: 250 each, 16th-20th: 200 each, 21st-25th:
150 each.
Women: 1st: 1000, 2nd: 750, 3rd: 500, 4th: 400, 5th:
350, 6th-10th: 250 each,
11th-15th: 200 each, 16th-20th: 150 each.
Also trophies for winners for each category. In case
of a tie, cash prizes are divided equally.
If a woman player is entitled to more than one cash
prizes, she receives both of them.
Registration:
Deadline for registrations: 23 July
2007. Every participation must be confirmed by the GCF. The Organising Committee therefore reserves the
right to decline applications at any stage, even
before the deadline expires.
Entry Fee: 50 EUR for all except GMs, IMs, WGMs and
WIMs.
